Expozitie Oana Toderica - BACKGROUND INTERIOR
Background interior is a sentimental approach - of reordering the luggage with memories, dreams, personal expectations and materialize, or rather, immortalize them in an intimate setting. Memory Walls - is an installation with pressed flowers (donated or "confiscated" from my father, who has collected them for years) forming a floral wallpaper, where each element is unique and unrepeatable.
Flowers are symbols of past times, memories preserved in plastic - like old photographs.
Untitled - is an installation with pillows - one pillow keeps the cavity trace from the head, associated to dreaming, and the other one grows flowing feathers that makes reference to future projections.
Background interior becomes a parallel between our inner world and the inside of a palpable, decorative room. (Oana Toderica)
